Our dedication to implementing and refining these proven formulations, coupled with ICI’s renowned expertise, has enabled Jaju Chemicals to deliver unparalleled and consistent heat treatment outcomes. We take pride in our collaborative journey and remain steadfast in our pursuit of excellence in every facet of the heat treatment process.

Application Areas –

For a diverse array of heat treatment processes, such as annealing, neutral hardening, tempering, austempering, martempering, and quenching molten salt baths provide essential advantages.

These are typically a mixture of various salts designed to create a bath with specific properties for heat-treating metals. Common components include nitrates, nitrites, and chlorides of alkali and alkaline earth metals.

The advantages of these Salts are –

Even Heating: The salts have high thermal conductivity, ensuring uniform heat distribution. No hotspots, just a warm, cozy bath for your metal.

Distortion Reduction: The controlled environment minimizes the risk of warping or twisting during the heating and cooling process. Keeps things straight and true.

Quenching Power: Some formulations are excellent for quenching, rapidly cooling the metal to achieve desired hardness.

Pre-heat Treatment Machining: The salts allow for machining before the heat treatment, adding a layer of convenience to the process.

Automatic Temperature Control: Temperature regulation ensures consistency in the treatment process.

Even Heating

The salts have high thermal conductivity, ensuring uniform heat distribution. No hotspots, just a warm, cozy bath for your metal.

Distortion Reduction

The controlled environment minimizes the risk of warping or twisting during the heating and cooling process. Keeps things straight and true.

Quenching Power

Some formulations are excellent for quenching, rapidly cooling the metal to achieve desired hardness.

Pre-heat Treatment Machining

The salts allow for machining before the heat treatment, adding a layer of convenience to the process.

Automatic Temperature Control

Temperature regulation ensures consistency in the treatment process.

Jaju Chemicals seems to have harnessed the power of these salts for some serious metal magic!

Products –
NC 660

A neutral salt used for hardening tool steels, selectively carburized steel, preheating hot die steel, and high-speed steel before hardening. Must be used with ICI’s Regenerator A to prevent decarburization. Also used in preparing initial melts of cyanide baths for heat treatment.

WS 720

Water-soluble neutral hardening salt for various tool steels and selectively carburized steels. Can be used with or without ‘Regenerator,’ and it is also suitable for brazing.

AS 650

Used for annealing plain carbon steel wire at temperatures below 720°C, and it finds applications in heat treatment.

HS 970

Designed for heating high-speed steels and hot work steels without scaling or decarburization.

HS 971

A salt for hardening high-speed and hot-work steel with minimal decarburization.

HT 830

Used for hardening stainless steel, hot work steel, and specific steel types, often in conjunction with ICI’s Regenerator A.

QS 540

Specially formulated for quenching high-speed steel and hot work steel tools after heating in HS 970, as well as for secondary hardening and tempering.

QS 495

Similar to QS 540 but with a lower melting point, suitable for quenching and secondary hardening of ‘lean’ high-speed tools.

TS 150

Used for tempering after hardening, in martempering and austempering, and for hardening aluminium alloys after solution treatment

TS 220

Employed for tempering, producing temper colors, and mottled finishes. Can create a jet black color on steel with a caustic soda solution.

TS 330

Developed for solution treatment and annealing of aluminium alloys.

TR 155

A heating transfer salt used in chemical and oil cracking installations for heating or cooling.

Regenerator A

Essential for use with NC 660, WS 720, and HT 830 to maintain non-decarburizing conditions in the baths.

Alkaline Degreasing Agents (ADA)

These agents are used for degreasing a wide range of metals by immersion or spraying, capable of removing various types of oils and greases.

ADA 1D and 2D FOR HOT DIP APPLICATION

ADA 1D is a heavy-duty cleaner for steel, iron, ferrous alloys, and some non-ferrous metals, but it may not be suitable for aluminum and its alloys, as well as tinned or galvanized surfaces. ADA 2D is designed for degreasing aluminum and its alloys, galvanized or tinned surfaces, and can be used for both non-ferrous and mixed ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

ADA 3D and ADA 4D FOR HOT SPRAY APPLICATION

ADA 3D is a spray version of ADA 1D, used on the same metals as ADA 1D, but it’s not suited for dip applications. ADA 4D, a spray version of ADA 2D, is recommended for non-ferrous metals and mixed materials, also not suitable for dip applications.
